About him
I have been widowed for 3 years now. My children are grown-up, happy, successful and settled with my grandchildren being an absolute delight. So, I now feel ready to find someone special again.
I appreciate that so much of our searching starts with the magic / chemistry of attraction. For me, it’s not simply about finding that individual you can be with - it is about finding the one person that you cannot be without and be so proud to have by your side.
So … I am bright natured, discerning, fun, faithful, considerate, articulate, solvent and have a very balanced outlook on life. I have always enjoyed my gym and pilates classes, playing golf, cycling (mainly spin now), rowing (Concept2s) but with live music and the arts being an important part of my life as well. I am totally taken with the grandeur of the Albert Hall & visit each year for Christmas Carols. The ballet "Manon" at the Royal Opera House was just pure emotion & sadness of love lost. This year I have seen tribute bands for Dire Straits, Queen, ELO, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Eagles and Santana - yes, I am a true music child of the 60/70s!
Most of my career was spent working in London, so I know the central and west end areas pretty well from simple pubs to nice restaurants but I still have a love of the countryside with trips to York, Derbyshire and the Lake District having a special place in my heart too ... as does the amazing view from Richmond Hill towards the Thames. I have family in West London, Nottingham and Wetherby and catch up with them as regularly as I can.
Whilst I am well travelled (with vacations this year in Turkey, Berlin, Tuscany & Spain) there are still places / experiences that I would love to share and cherish with someone that becomes special to me.
I am blessed to have a wide & varied group of dear friends and like hosting and going to parties, events and holidays with them. I balance that with the downtime of enjoying home life and just slowing down for that all important time to recharge.
