Fairly recently widowed and pretty lonely just now - looking for friendship for a start but who knows where that may lead in time! I'm a retired sports journalist with more than a passing interest in football, golf, cricket and skiing!

Someone who can make me laugh would be an advantage, especially after recent events. I enjoy cooking, so I'm just as happy enjoying a meal at home as going out to dine in a restaurant. I'm in the process of finishing a book on football, the proceeds of which will go to the local hospital in Elgin where my late wife had her chemotherapy every 4 weeks for the last five years!
