About her
Hello there! Although widowed I feel that I have a great zest for life, a sense of fun and a wide range of interests. These include all sorts of music (particularly classical, jazz and folk), singing, theatre, film, reading, art, bridge (social player), bird watching, moderate walks and weekends away exploring new places. I also appreciate the very simple things in life such as a nice cup of coffee (re-useable mug of course!) , a hug or a wonderful view. Now that life has opened up following the lockdowns, I am trying to get out there more to explore and meet new people, and have become particularly interested in 'green' issues, and sustainable ways of living.
People say I'm quite a positive, friendly, thoughtful type of person who has much to offer. I try to live by traditional values but with a modern outlook and go to a local informal church roughly twice a month. My one child aged 30yrs has now flown the nest, leaving me more time to make a new life of my own.
Prior to parenthood I worked in Arts and Recreation management but these days I choose to do volunteering when I can.
Currently I'm based near to Salisbury, Stonehenge and the A303, an area which is fairly accessible from most directions. I am also a semi-regular visitor to London / S.E. and enjoy the contrasting buzz of that region. For the right person I'd be prepared to re-locate within the UK (hopefully not too far North!)

Ideally, I'd like to meet a kind, sincere, honest professional man who's easy-going but reliable during life's inevitable ups and downs. Preferably, they should have a sense of humour ( dry / quirky or whatever? )and be able to see the funny side of things. If they have a bit of a romantic streak as well, that would indeed be perfect!
It'd be really great to get to know someone who likes to get out and about a bit, enjoys some cultural activities , and who has a few interests overlapping mine. Possibly that person might be generally lighthearted, maybe a little more 'arty' than 'sporty' and have a reasonably healthy lifestyle. Hopefully, they will appreciate some good conversation and a little socializing from time to time.
