About him
I am a sane and settled single man who has worked in the voluntary and education sectors and with government on public policy - but I am now retired. I live in London by choice and enjoy all it has to offer including music and opera, theatre and film and eating out. I am an appealing older man who looks (and thinks) like someone younger than I really am - and I am clean and well presented. My friends would describe me as caring, loyal, friendly and fun to be with but sometimes a bit fussy. I really like classical music as both a performer and a listener but also enjoy more informal styles of music (e.g. jazz and musicals) as well.

The most important factors in my ideal match are integrity, honesty and a genuine interest in life as well as commitment to what they do. I'm open on interests but matching mine i.e. classical music, the arts generally and food and drink would be most desirable. A positive outlook on life is very important and the desire to be flexible enough to compromise with each other to some extent. I'm interested in quite a wide range of possible relationships and am not necessary looking for long-term commitment in the first instance. My perfect date would involve going somewhere together, lots of conversation, maybe a drink or a meal and maybe going back to one of our places afterwards.
