Things I like to share: art, theatre, cinema, opera, music, walking, cycling in sunshine and travelling.
Things I do alone: art, writing, reading and running.
The triangle of my life: rural Wiltshire, London and Paris.
Why?: my home is in south Wiltshire, my son in London and my daughter and newborn grandson in Paris.
I'm semi-retired but do a little online teaching and manage a handful of properties.
Learning French and iPad art are my current crusades.
I'm fairly fit and active, practical and self-sufficient.
In a mad world politics matters. I read the FT, Economist, Atlantic and New Statesman. And listen to political podcasts and R4.
Amongst my favourite places are my garden in summer to read in the sunshine and my bed in winter.
Essential ingredients of day to day living are coffee, red wine, sunshine, hills, reasonably healthy food and - above all else - my adult children and grandson and a handful of cherished friends.
I am far more owl than lark unless in a place where dawn is warm or spectacular.
As long as I'm alive I'll never be old.
Laugh and play every day - that's what keeps the doctor away.

I take reasonable care of my body. I'd prefer fewer wrinkles and won't mind yours. Looks don't matter clothed but I couldn't advance to a physical relationship with excess fat, hairy faces, tattoos or piercings. Bald is fine but not long hair.
I am quite organised and can't live in a tip. I love cats but not dogs.
I'm not a tyrant but I'd rather not waste your time if being with you were to risk turning me into one.
