About her
I'm vivacious, very witty, energetic, fun, thoughtful, caring, generous and kind (so I'm told). I'm also quite untidy, scatty, sometimes late and, as a vegetarian who loves broccoli, sometimes a bit farty. I can cook but really don't understand ironing. My big passions are travel, exploring, teaching, writing, the great outdoors (but not when it's peeing it down), open air swimming (but not too far out to sea cos I'm chicken). I look after a young asylum-seeker and believe in equality for all. "It's nice to be nice," was my great-uncle's catchphrase and I believe that's a good mantra. I love splashing in puddles, playing pool, air hockey and cards, doing cryptic crosswords, architecture, art, films, gigs, theatre... I'm not at all highbrow but I'm always up for learning. I can speak a bit of French and Spanish and love trying to learn more.

My ideal match is kind, generous of spirit and caring. Fun-loving, silly, someone with compassion for all people and things, someone who can get along with most people. I'm allergic to cats so it wouldn't work if you're a massive cat-lover and I'm generally not much of a pet person, sorry!
Affection is probably the quality I'm after most. The thing I most miss about being in a relationship is hugs.
I can't abide jealousy; to me, trust is a given on both sides right from the start. What's the point otherwise? I want a partner who is secure in themselves and emotionally mature.
It would be great to meet someone who wants to travel - city breaks, further afield - enjoys walks and pub lunches, a bit of culture, playing cards/games with friends, doing fun things together. But not living in each others' pockets.
