About him
A writer for 40 years, specialising in the Middle East and 'things that go bump in the night', I've been very separated for four years and am now looking for a new partner in crime. I have many interests, including travel, theatre, music (especially classical and opera), reading, nature, eating out, and sitting in little sidewalk cafes. I despise prejudice of any kind and have become kind of disinterested in politics (having interviewed a lot of politicians) as, basically, they are all the same no matter which party. I prefer cats.
I have a particular love of Italy, living there for a time in younger days, and still like to visit as much as possible. A fellow Italophile, therefore, would be most welcome. As a writer, I can work anywhere and enjoy looking out over the mountains in Liguria or a beach in Sicily while I type away!
However, I enjoy many other countries and cultures, and love to visit new places.

I would like to meet an open-minded, intelligent, creative woman who doesn't take life too seriously yet is still again to have deep, serious discussions, especially about the 'big questions' in life. Perhaps a bit of a Bohemian. But I'm fairly open to all kinds of views, preferences, and interests.
