I'm apparently quite funny, strongly opinionated. I enjoy cooking/entertaining, & I have an interest in politics, from the very much liberal left.
According to a friend, I'm an "Agatha Christie character in a Marvel Superhero world", born way out of my time.
I am loyal, monogamous & more interested in friendship and/or a potential long term relationship than 'hooking uo'
I'm a medically retired NHS Matron, aged only 40, & to get the 'elephant' out of the room as people always ask; it was a work-related accident that was wrongly diagnosed at the time, which left me with a corrupted spine/spinal cord. So, after 22 surgeries over 20yrs, I have a spinal cord stimulator implanted, a bit like a large pacemaker that impedes most pain signals from getting to the brain.
I use a stick a lot of the time, taking top up pain relief alongside the anti rejection and diabetes meds, and I am a little slower than I used to be, but that's all.
I am an organist, love JS & C Bach & Oli Chucklebutty. I played recitals when younger, highlight duetting with dear Carlo Curley.
I love antiques, specializing in European ceramics. In fact I had a shop in West Moors but COVID put paid to that! Also I enjoy quizzes, gardening, history & exploratory travel & recently started presenting vlogs on social media.
I have 2 non negotiables. 1. honesty. 2. my dogs. The first is self-explanatory. People who lie to me disappear immediately. As to the 2nd, I have my Collie Whippet cross: 'Suzi Q' (as in Quattro) aged 14, a rescue I have shared life with from birth. Also 'Toby Dawg', a JRT who justed turned 22, who joined Suzi & I 2yrs ago when a neighbour passed away & Toby needed a new home. Both are incredibly friendly.
If you can share these with me perhaps introduce me to ones you enjoy, all the better.
As to type, I don't have 1. Have deep eyes + a brain you enjoy using, & the rest is irrelevant!
By the way, I am DEFINITELY a talker, sometimes way too much so don't be backwards about telling me shut up if needed hee hee.

I have personally known Barry for the last fifteen years and in that time and come to know him very well.
He is a very loyal charming funny guy who is someone who I am fortunate to have him in my life as a close friend.
He is completely trustworthy ( in fact I have appointed him my executor) and he is someone that I can call on for help advice and will never let someone down willingly and also shares his whole being with anyone who comes into his life.
He has had a few knocks on the way but anyone who he does share his life with will be very fortunate.
We have always shared a varied sense of humour ( even though in a gay bar someone thought I was younger than him!!) - it did my ego no end of good as I am approaching 76.
