About her
I'm just back from Christmas in Scotland and the New Year seems like a good time to try a different adventure. I've been taking a walk around and dipping my toe in, and now its time to jump.
I'm warm and kind, and I can be witty.
I love the outdoors, especially outdoor swimming all year round in my local lido. Being by the sea is a sensuous pleasure but nature generally uplifts me. Like to go birdwatching. As happy, if not happier, in a tent/caravan, than a 5 star hotel.
I'm also a townie. I enjoy a good film, though today's 3 hour screening of 'Jeanne Dielman', about a woman peeling a potato, took some stamina!
I'm often at art galleries. Just completed a short photography course to learn how to use my Canon on manual, sing in a choir, have run a creative writing group for some years, and am author of two books, one work and one poetry. Don't watch much tv but have a spotify playlist that I'm always listening to, and I like live gigs. Though pretending to be 40 at Womad last summer nearly killed me! Maybe next year I'll just plonk myself in a camping chair in front of one of the small stages....
I used to be quite politically active but maybe I've become jaded? I still think it's important to live according to values of social justice and equality, and I keep up with world affairs, often via ch4 news or browsing articles online. If you vote Conservative we're unlikely to click.
Realised I put 'comfortable' under income. Its relative though isn't it? I'm not materialistic. I have a warm home, clothes, food, and so far no-one's dropping bombs on me. So I guess I'm comfortable.
I'm not a classical music enthusiast but you could persuade me.
I have a soft spot for my son, my son's dog! and my old cat.
I am sociable but I also like and need my own company. Worked in hospices for last 20 years, now glad to be retired. Life is precious!

I like men who listen as well as talk. Sharing both intelligent conversation and having a laugh/being silly together is important to me. Tenderness can melt me and I love skin on skin. Being able to express your emotions is crucial to a relationship, or a friendship, progressing.
I'd like to start with friendship and if anything more develops it's a bonus. Would enjoy some shared outings - a daytrip to the sea? A birding walk? A gallery and coffee? A stroll along the South Bank? If we get on well enough a shared trip to somewhere in Europe maybe.
I am often busy and am fairly content so I'm not necessarily looking for my 'other half.' though of course it could happen. Meanwhile we could have some good times together and enhance each other's lives.
