About her
My interests are wide-ranging including current affairs and politics, travel, films, musicals, motorboating, steam trains, fitness classes, learning languages and meeting people. That could be over a pub quiz, a meal, a Belgian beer or a walk. I have a deep side but I'm not serious all the time so have a GSOH, enjoying many stand-up comedians. It's a real shame they cancelled "Mock the Week".
I am equally comfortable in shorts and a T-shirt as I am dressed-up for a formal dinner and I look after myself with Yoga, Tai Chi and Zumba classes.
Originally a North Londoner, my family moved to Surrey when I was nine and I now live near Portsmouth after sixteen years abroad. I'm very much a Londoner but multilingual with a European outlook.
"Do or do not. There is no try". No, I'm not a Star Wars fan (sorry Yoda) but I do believe in going for it, making the most of opportunities. I have been a member of Toastmasters International since 2009, improving public speaking and leadership skills. In 2020, I started a new club which is now online and international.
Whilst I am happy in my own company, I miss someone with whom I can go out for a fun, interesting time, good conversation, a country walk, watch the sun set over the sea, maybe live music and share experiences only available to couples. I'm a romantic at heart surrounded by long-term couples and would love to believe that there is someone who holds similar ideals, values and hopes to me who wants to share their time and maybe build a future.

Someone who is emotionally mature, knows what he wants and goes for it in life. Life is too short to be put on a back burner and count down to retirement. Ideally, you will be well-travelled and if you speak any of the same languages as me, even better. If you like travel, being around water, good food, a G&T, maybe a Belgian beer, films, music, going for a walk and a good chat, why not contact me?
I won't enjoy the company of anyone too shy nor anyone who monopolizes the conversation or tries to change or control me.
