Desirable but not essential. Someone who likes to go for a stroll and maybe find a nice cafe for that decaff. Maybe someone who occasionally likes to visit old ruins. Someone who might like doing stuff I have not done for years so there would be new things to do. Capable of taking the lead but not bossy. No need to agree with everything I say but capable of 'agreeing to differ'. I am happy with a different opinion to mine on anything (unless you are Andrew Tate). If you are 6'5" with 2 PhDs that could be a plus - but, equally well, if you can make me feel you are 6'5" etc that would be just as great.
Essentials. A deal breaker would be someone who cannot control their temper or goes too far the other way and pretends to like doing the things I like. Negativity is a big turn off - pragmatic is good. If you are looking for hook-ups or one night stands move on - I am not. If you are the kind of person who plays silly mind games (or one to follows the lead of those that do) again, move on. I would not be the right person for you. If you are in your 60s/70s you should have outgrown that kind of behaviour. Absolute honesty is a must.
