About him
I am told that I have a dry sense of humour.
I am trying to resurrect any skill that I had in the 1960s as an art student and have been in a drawing group for about 12 months. Before recently moving to the Bristol area I helped to run a small film club and also a supper club where we engaged speakers. These are both in the village where I lived.
I like to visit my daughter and family including 2 small grandchildren. Unfortunately they lived some distance away, hence the move
I was happily married for 50 years but sadly my wife was ill for several years before she died some 4 years ago
My daughter persuaded me that I should move nearer to where she lives in Bristol and I am in the middle of trying to down size (not easy when you have lived in the same house for over 30 years) Some of the problem is that when I retired I signed up to a course for making fine furniture which I did for 12 years so I have quite a few items some of which are large. One of the criteria for a new place to live was that it should have dining room big enough to take a 3 metre dining table comfortably and this I have found.
I may be over 80 but I am told that I do not look it and i am still reasonably fit
I am now starting a new chapter and want to explore a new part of England (I have lived in several other areas) and meet some nice and interesting people

I am looking for someone who is attractive, confident and self reliant she should be self confident but sometimes a bit reserved. She needs to have a wide ranging taste in music ( but not Country and western) and it would be nice to share an interest in good food and occasional trips to the theatre and galleries. Simply share experiences and who knows? travel.
