Hi. Thanks for stopping by.
So, what am I looking for on here? I feel the need to give 2 answers, because who knows what scenarios may play out, what the other person may want and how things will blend.
(1) We will have things in common, and I will find a friend, or
(2) (and if this is further down the road and we take our time to get there, fine..., but I think it is perhaps why we're here...).....
I am looking for someone who can be my best friend and hopefully develop into more, and who can make my eyes smile (not a lot then...!) I do believe he's out there somewhere. Yes, I am ultimately seeking a partner in every sense of the word, but don't want to scare you off at the start...!
But are there people here who genuinely want to 'connect'?
I am honest and truthful, and am seeking the same. I enjoy going out to restaurants for dinner and good conversation (a date night!), also cuddling up on the sofa and watching a good film.
I love sports, in particular tennis, athletics and rugby. I’m not keen on football, but wouldn't hold that against you if you are, as I think it’s healthy to have different interests.
I play the piano (electronic), so music is a huge part of my life and brings me much pleasure and I enjoy a wide range, including 80's stuff (my era), to Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Il Divo, and everything in between, to Andrea Bocelli,
who I have a particular fondness for.
Friends would describe me as independent and self-sufficient which is accurate, but it's nice to know you have someone who's got your back when things are tough, and hold your hand and celebrate with you the good times, of which I hope to have many.
I adore warm sunny holidays, and love to swim and relax with several good books, and my music.
Life is not a rehearsal. Carpe diem…it’s time to find happiness when we can.

My ideal match would be honest, caring, affectionate, and not afraid to show it, with a good sense of humour. I have a springer spaniel, so he must like dogs and accept they do need to be walked..!
Like me, he will enjoy a night out with good food, but also nights in and dinner over a candle and wine with some music on in the background.
I do not like smoking and am very intolerant towards it, so that would be my number one deal breaker. I am also not a fan of tattoos or piercings.
Whilst I do not have children, I understand the majority of people do (and grandchildren), and that is not an issue for me. I have a 12 year old niece, whom I love very much.
