What's important in life :- Honesty, loyalty, good friends and a sense of humour.
My main sport is road cycling, closely followed by off-road cycling. I'm mainly a touring cyclist having toured with friends along the south coast to Land's End and up the east coast to John o' Groats; we're now looking at touring routes on the continent. One of my favourite summer events is the Dunwich Dynamo which I've completed several times. Cycling all day on quiet country lanes is a real pleasure and means the coffee/cake/beer and pub lunches can be enjoyed guilt free! Swapping the touring bike for my mountain bike and cycling on gravel tracks and woodland paths makes a present change especially in the spring and autumn; recently I've discovered off-road night cycling which is a remarkable experience.
Now that I've retired, and when this pandemic is over, I would like to cycle tour in more exotic places like India, Thailand and Vietnam, and also spend time walking in the Alps.
I can slowdown and enjoy less active pursuits like a good Barn Dance or Ceilidh, in addition a canal holiday is a good way to unwind, however, the locks still need to be worked and the towpaths are very enjoyable places to walk. To completely slowdown I love watching Tennis, especially Wimbledon, listening to music (folk, jazz and classical), and finally there is my life long interest in astronomy and the cosmos.
All I really need is someone to share my enjoyment of life with!

Someone who is fit and active and enjoys road cycling, touring and mountain biking. A sense of humour is essential and the desire to banter is a definite advantage. Enjoyment of walking is also important, as is the ability to slowdown and enjoy less activity pursuits like a Barn Dance or Ceilidh and perhaps a relaxing trip on a canal boat.
An interest in tennis (especially Wimbledon), music (Folk, Jazz and Classical) and a curiosity for astronomy and the cosmos, would be an advantage.
