About her
I've had a varied and interesting life so far (from a chef to the rich and very famous to working in a very unusual NHS Clinic - I'll tell you more when I see you...) and I'm ready to embrace the next stage of life with enthusiasm! I've travelled a lot both for work and for pleasure - Vietnam was a life changing experience - but there are still places to go, things to do, people to meet and some company on the journey would be a bonus. I'm still working part time but it's to keep me interested rather than because I need to. I'm solvent and sane but my little dog is not a great conversationalist. Are you? I'm fit and healthy, prefer to get out and walk every day rather than do the gym thing, keen on the theatre, cinema, current affairs, love sculpture exhibitions, food, wine, visits to anywhere and everywhere if it looks interesting or fun but equally happy pottering at home, gardening, reading or seeing friends. I'm a bit of a petrol head, love cars and driving. I'm left of centre, I have a good social conscience and I'm an intelligent woman. Distance is no barrier to a good connection, I regularly drive to see my family in Bath, visit friends in Edinburgh, time to explore the world.

What is an ideal match? Well, apart from the obvious such as decent values, honesty, a sense of humour and a willingness to remain active and interested in life, I want to feel excited at the prospect of seeing you. I'm unlikely to match with a right leaning, Mail reading man but a difference in views is good, it can lead to interesting conversation. Please try to come up with something more original than pub/log fires/walking on the beach/life is for living/only get one life/ don't take myself too seriously (what does that even mean??) etc etc in your description! They're all great things but you'd be surprised how many men write this and it doesn't tell me much about YOU and that's the bit I want to know. PS : writing 'if you want to know anything, just ask' is lazy!
