Intelligent, creative, good cook (I love baking!)
I'm quite practical but I haven't learnt how to use a drill properly yet which irks me (on my 'To Do' list) as I have a slowly increasing number of 'little jobs' that need attention! I like walking and being outside but only if the weather is nice as I'm not a dyed in the wool rambler! I go out everyday for a walk and it's rare the weather stops me from doing that as it would take a thunderstorm to keep me in! I'm also happy pottering in the garden on a nice day too.
I love spending time with my family, especially the grandchildren who always make me laugh and see the world from a different angle. I like to travel and discover new places but, for me, Austria is the best place in the whole world. Not for skiing, as I've never done that, but for summer holidays, walking in the mountains and by the many lakes as well as a bit of sightseeing thrown in too.
I enjoy a good drama on TV, documentaries and factual programmes but reality shows like Love Island or Made in Chelsea are not my thing at all. I'm trying to get back into reading rather than getting side tracked surfing on the internet. I even re-joined the local library only to discover they lend e-books as well now! Now I'm listening to audio books on my daily walk!
I have indulged in many creative pastimes over the years including some courses at the local art college (painting and drawing, textiles and design) which has left me with enough materials to open a shop!
I'd like to get into photography as I have a decent camera but have never realised its full potential.
I have just retired with the intention of having more time to do more of what makes me happy (usually something creative!) and seeing my grandchildren more often. The reality is more of catching up on all the DIY jobs, such as decorating and sorting out years of accumulated belongings!

I would like to meet a nice, kind, decent chap with a positive outlook on life that would enjoy some female company on a friendly basis to begin with. Good relationships are built on a solid friendship.
Intelligent yet practical (perhaps someone who could teach me how to use a drill properly?) with a good sense of humour to make me laugh a lot. Someone who enjoys being outdoors, going for a decent walk and having a chat over a well earned coffee and cake. Likes travelling at home and abroad, discovering new places and revisiting old favourites and hopefully some hobbies of his own as I think it is important to have separate interests as well as shared ones.
As a footnote, I've never been wildly political but don't bother contacting me if you think the current government are doing a good job/love Boris/or if you voted for Brexit and still think it was a good idea. I'm all for open discussion and respecting other people's viewpoints but for me, this is definitely a non starter.
