About him
My space is surrounded by a thousand beige brick bunkers containing five thousand hunkered souls, most of whom could see where I sit but almost none of whom look. A short walk from my own box is a sanctuary that feels like my own, it isn't, it's the wide open and some of the houses surrounding it are less than three hundred yards away. Like so many places it is anonymous in its ordinariness until you stray from the desire paths meander ways, formed by wistful walks, and step into tall grasses growing reckless with weeds and meadow flowers.
I was described recently as a kind soul, generous, giving and helpful. I've been called the calm in the room and the rock on the beach. I'll cry at stories of the suffering of children, and rage at those responsible. I'm moved by the effort to improve in others and always prepared to mentor.
I like to sit quietly and reflect and to bounce like a loon at the right moment. I am a developed practitioner of the 'dad joke'. and my sons have developed the ability to roll their eyes 360 degrees as a result. My sons are my life.
