Hi
I guess I'd say that I'm a fit, intelligent, loving, happy and romantic person who believes in overcoming the challenges that life presents. I can be funny and light hearted but have a more serious side to me as well.
When younger I was very keen on athletics and sport, now ....I'm just fit and active.
I live in a cottage on a hill, with views, nature and lovely walks from the doorstep which I enjpy with my lovely rescue dog. Its a very peaceful place, but I don't hide away here .... the local market town is great with friends, groups and activities but I also love the variety and culture of Newcastle.
My grown up children are in the south east, whilst one is up here in the north east plus my delightful grandaughter. We're a happy family despite some loss, and always have lots of fun and laughter when we're together.
I've spent holidays in Europe, but I do think this country has masses to offer as well. I'd like to explore other parts of the world over time, on my own, with a pal, or even better, with a nice partner!
The things that I love and enjoy doing are ....the countryside, walking and hiking, gardening, reading, singing, dancing.... although a partner helps here....swimming, and many types of music...classical, folk, jazz, and blues, Cohen, Paxton and more. I play the piano and teach a little. Also, ballet, and art which I'm interested in tho`I have limited talent for. Sunrises, sunsets, seas, mountains, music, poetry and birdsong are very emotive and tug at my spiritual side.
I'm a happy, bubbly sort of person with much love to give. My present life is satisfying and full, however I`d love to meet a special person, ..a friend, soulmate, lover, with whom to continue exploring life.

I'm quite flexible on this but its nice to dream, so I`d probably say something like....
Positive, warm, sincere and loving, intelligent, with a good sense of fun and humour. Interested in other people, fit and keen on the countryside and outdoor activities, but also in some of the arts and cultural aspects of city life.
